Wow, Loreley, that's what I call a perfect Christmas scene
Melting a bit here in Huddersfield but still -1 or -2c. Walked the 1/2 mile or so into the village for the turkey as my winter car is an automatic with rear wheel drive, crap forward planning, I know. Took my kids' sledge with me to save having to carry stuff back, just call me Ranulph! |

I am feeling like a freak here in sunny Hawaii, but I just had to give you guyz something to fantasize about because it is in the 70s during the day, as always, until long after the sun sets, when it gets down to the high 60s! There is a "storm" expected though, which won't alter the temperature at all, but we may get some flooding due to rain. You are all invited for New Years!! |

5 inches plus of snow here and still snowing on and off...from big flakes to tiny ones...Subsequently snowed off work for the first time in my life....I think it was easier when I was less reliant on a vehicle...I did manage a 5 mile round trip walk to collect parts for a job though...just a pity I can't(can't or won't??you decide!) go the 10 miles to go and fit it...well it is in a church so I'm sure they've got a higher help than I can offer! |

I want to be there!!! Sounds beautiful. Snow is on the way here again, but we're only expecting about 4". Brutal cold expected behind the storm. Average today was around
25F/-4C. |

Still snowing.
Schools shut again.
Run out of milk.
Even the postman has had to abandon his shorts.
Bored with it all now. |

My boss called me at 0830 sat morning to ask if I wouldn't mind going in to help with the backlog of heating breakdowns...I did....and even got Sparks another mention on BBC Surrey(alas still no airplay)
Today was a lot easier around the roads...but some hills are still impossible(impassible??...lol) for my van...so once again I concentrated on breakdowns instead of servicing.
Big frost forecast for tonight...but no more snow threats till wednesday. |

Snow has returned. We have around 20" in central Pennsylvania (all in one snowfall over about a 24 hour period). 30" expected other places on the east coast.
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles and its environs, the rains have returned and mudslides are occurring. |

Yes it must be a slow news weekend. I've seen a couple of news agencies referring to it as "Snowmageddon"... |

It's snowing like crazy here too!
Right up here in Northwestern Minnesota, United States.
With the wind chill it's 2 degrees fahrenheit.
It's been snowing for like two days now. The unbothered centre of my backyard is probably four feet deep. _________________ Last.fm.

"Snowmageddon" has only just begun here in Northern Virginia: On top of the 2 feet of snow that fell Friday and Saturday, we're getting another 10 to 20 inches on Tuesday and Wednesday! Most streets aren't plowed, and schools are closed at least for the next couple of days. May be the most snow this region has ever seen!! _________________ "Gratitude for having thought of me. Today we're either getting 4-8" or 6-13" of new snow. You'd think with it being snowpocalypse/mageddon they'd be able to pinpoint the doom and gloom more accurately.
"Is that a flurry??? Is it a snow shower?? NOOOO!!! It's snowmageddon!" |
