No spitting allowed, Juliet! No throwing stones and no crows flying. Please.
:)
I'm hiding out in the one room of the house that currently has an air conditioner in the window. Supposed to be in the low 90sF today.

Peter...I thought I was making a fresh and original witticism. Your reply made me go back through the thread. "Costa del Grimsby" was apparently your original one. How old am I that I thought we were both saying original thoughts? I've apparently lost my memory and have no idea where I saw it last...

Alex, did you terry off the feathered friends? What's the outlook for your area for the summer? Here in the States they're predicting a more severe hurricane season and we've already had a much more active and deadly tornado season.
I also can't believe how hot and humid it's been for June.
I'm very thankful for air conditioning.
Beautiful day today, though, at about 81F and a nice breeze.

Brrrr...southern hemisphere blues - top of 13 degrees C here today (about 55 F); so much for sunny Australia (in June, anyway!...roll on Spring...)

"Scruffy" our resident bluetit lost his only fledgling who didn't survive a fall from the nest...so Scruffy has been forlornly going around with a moth in his beak and nobody to feed. The young magpies have found their wings and the fat balls and at have at least fended off the pigeons who eat everything in sight without a break.....loads of sparrows are constant visitors along with some young blackbirds...the rain has encouraged live food to burrow up through the earth so the feeder will be left for a couple of days.

Poor Scruffy! That'd be hard to watch especially since nothing you can do to help.

We're in for higher temps. as the week progresses and a few thunderstorms....

He seems to have skedaddled....but I'll wait till summer is over before clearing the nest box.
Also, just the other day I mentioned to my better half that the young magpies all seem to have very long tail feathers...when what turns up...a magpie with NO tail feathers...christened "Stumpy".....

800 miles through Holland, Belgium and France the last 6 days, all roof off weather except Monday in France. V2 rocket factory in Wizernes was excellent (and very sobering).

Glad you didn't get us with that "top off" nomenclature this time!

Almost 100F today. Humid. Thick fog this morning.

I miss the snow!
Thunderstorms expected through Friday, highs in the 80s and humid.
It feels like August and not June.

AKA pishin' doon.
There used to be a sarky expression used when one walked into a Dundee hostelry out of a rainstorm...utterly drookit.....and some worthy would ask, "Is it still raining?"*....the invariable answer would be..."NO!...a big dog peed on me!"*

Aberdeen - raining.

I will not be posting in this thread again. Please just assume:
Aberdeen - raining.

That is all.
