Original Bee Gees drummer Colin Petersen dies aged 78. He was also a founding member of Humpy Bong (its vocalist Tim Staffel quit a band called Smile, later known as Queen, to join Humpy Bong).

This news came only a few days after the sudden passing of another Bee Gees drummer Dennis Bryon. Sad news.

John Prescott, former deputy Labour Prime Minister.
A plain speaking man, vilified by the right wing for his love of a decent motor (or two). Some yob thought it would be a valid protest to egg him at close quarters, then went crying to the press when JP retaliated with a tap on the chin.
His nickname went from “ 2-Jags” to “2-jabs” but all politicians should be entitled to defend themselves from close up attacks regardless of their political stance.
He was a genuine political tour de force!

You can no longer get anything you want at "Alice's Restaurant." Alice Brock - remember Alice? Arlo Guthrie wrote the song about Alice - died aged 83, but I suspect regional radio stations will keep playing the song in its entirety on Thanksgiving Day.
