If it was true, of course it's ridiculous. But, now, it works very well for the publicity! It will now be booming, won't it?
Darn, they f****ing (ooops!) deserve a number one on every playlist,

That settles that then I guess. Thanks for that link rmmmorrow Controversy can sometimes be a good thing of course. It all keeps the hot kettle bubbling which after all is what we all want.
Controversy?....now that was an old Prince track? Confusion?......like what we've just had in a way, that was a rather excellent Sparks track, I wonder what old Jacques Tati would have made of all that? ......Maybe even a good track to be playing in the second set in Brighton if Ron & Russ are hearing this.

I would remind those here present that being banned by the BBC usually results in having a #1 or #2 single. I would cite the precidents of The Sex Pistols ('Anarchy in the UK') and Frankie Goes to Hollywood ('Relax'), m'lud.,

Personally, I find my fragile young mind has been abused. Why didn't they call the song "Richard Around"? Won't anybody think of the children?

It wasn't actually banned, and plenty of songs that have been banned haven't reached number one or two, mmmkay?

Two pages mostly condemning the BBC for banning a song, when no such thing happened. BBC LDN is only one of 40 regional radio stations in the UK, and this decision, which seems to have come from bad prep by the producer, was a local issue. As far as I am aware, there is no longer a mechanism within the BBC to ban ANYTHING on a national level, and such decisions are made my individual producers. I had already heard this song on national BBC radio and television, and far from being squares, we find this song title to be a bit of fun. Neither are we likely to feel 'traumatised' by the sight of a woman's breast at a football match.

My mistake...an attempt at humour obviously off the mark...I mentioned Chris Moyles as I assumed he was funnier than Mark and Lard...the "hot-shot" comment was entirely unforgiveable as a cheap shot,for which I apologise without reserve!!!
I should've researched further prior to posting...What indeed am I talking about????
