now that everyone is awaiting the live shows.. and the guys are bound to mix it up a little.. besides all the songs from the new record, what are some faves you'd love to hear live again, or the first time?

Seeing them sat on stage drinking tea would be enough, any songs they do are a bonus :P :D

I'd like to hear "Gone With the Wind". I can't believe this song was left off the original album (I'm assuming it was recorded during the "Indiscreet" sessions?).

I guess I'd add "Girl from Germany" to the list, also...

Well, you're all old hands and i'm just a Newbie (never seen 'em live for some reason) and for me its Hasta Manana Monsieur 'cos the riff is just the best riff ever and i'd LOVE to hear this live and loud. Also, in the days when lyrics weren't so readily available, when I first heard it, "shocked, so shocked" were quite lierally "......the only words that I knew for sure" and I just loved that line.

Some things you never forget and you're glad of them!

Ron & Russ, if you read this site please, please play the original version of Mother Earth. This is such a classic song and does not need the techno/retro treatment.

Absolutely Tony! I started a thread about this awhile ago, because I think the throw-away karaoke version of NTYBOME has always been the worst part of the Sparks live show. What a waste of a wonderful song!

On the list above I voted for "Upstairs" too; an absolute belter of a song! I've got a live version on DVD; marvellous!!

I really would love to hear 'Upstairs' performed live at some stage during the tour. You're right GfG, it is an absolute belter of a song and that live performance where Russ puts all of his heart and soul into it, well it is just a magnificant performance. As I have said before, it brings me out in goosebumps.

As far as what's listed, I wouldn't mind hearing Sextown USA, but I'd also love to hear anything from Sparks or Woofer, as they are the cream of the crop in my opinion (so far, that is). Oh, just play whatever - it'll all be good!

One that I wouldn't mind hearing live that is not in the list is 'Kiss Me Quick'. This one is so sexy and Russell sounds so seductive.......
